RE Holy Spirit

Compare the three versions of the Baptism of Jesus.
Watch the video of the Baptism of Jesus.

Now read the bible versions of this story.

Similarities
Differences
Application question:
How does the Holy Spirit help me to live as a child of God?
Similarities are that Jesus got baptised by John.

He  heard the voice of the Lord talking to him.

He came from Galilee.

Says the people all saw the Spirit of God descending on Jesus like a dove.

In the bible scriptures God speaks the same message to Jesus ‘You are my Son whom I love and am well pleased with´.

In the book of Mark, John doesn't speak to Jesus.
In the book of Matthew & the clip, John says ´He should not baptise Jesus but that Jesus should Baptise him´.

They each had different words but meant the same thing.“You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” and “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” These are different from each other.
In the video God the Father says ‘This is my dearly loved son who brings me great joy.
It helps me to make good choices.

Can make me speak different languages and I can speak in a heavenly language.

If I believe in God I will go to heaven

  1. Hi Quinn, you have done a lot of work here, good job. I enjoyed reading this as I find it interesting how there are different versions of the Baptism. Make sure you check your font fits onto the page before you publish your post, as unfortunately I cannot read all of the third column.
